Very potent Rosemary scent

These pellets smell so very much like rosemary that I am tempted to eat one. I usually use chips. Most of the time, I use apple, mesquite, hickory, cherry, maple or alderwood. However, none of them smell or infuse the scent they are named after. These are way different. One could almost put these out instead of a candle to make a room smell fresh.

Aroma Upgrade

Aroma Upgrade i cooked chicken legs and thighs on my charcoal grill along with these rosemary smoking pellets in a hexagonal smoke-tube. The pellets themselves look exactly like the type you load into the hopper on a pellet smoker, but they are intended as an enhancement rather than the primary source of heating (i.e., “cold smoke”). They ignited easily in the smoke tube and burned extremely well, leaving only small amount of fine white ash at the end. Fresh-from-the-bag, these rosemary pellets have a strong evergreen smell. Once they begin smoking, however, they produce a sweeter, more floral aroma that gives the chicken a delicious additional flavor. There is still a light, smokiness from the charcoal grilling of course, but the rosemary adds depth to the “wood smoke” aroma. Definitely worth a try.

It's delightful!2) The quality of the pellets is excellent, with minimal broken pieces and dust. By my quick measurement, the pellets average around 3/4" in length.Next up, once Mother Nature returns us to grilling temperatures (50+), I have some plans for a fine smoked salmon.Grab a bag of these rosemary pellets today and enjoy the smoky aroma yourself.

Smelly pellets

Wow! Open the bag and the rosemary smell comes out. I’ve not tried this smoke before, but have high hopes for it, especially for poultry. These are basic wood pellets, and you want to use ~10-15% of these to you ‘normal’ wood pellets. Whenever you have a feeder or sprinkle chips manually, this will give you a new BB smoke experience.

Great rosemary smoke

I love BBQing chicken using rosemary. I will sometimes baste it using a garlic butter sauce while using a few fresh sprigs of rosemary as the brush/baster but sometimes, I don't have fresh rosemary. These pellets are a great alternative. I added a bit every 10 minutes or so to my charcoal grill and got a very nice, smoky rosemary taste. I can't wait to use it in my electric smoker. They will also work great in a pellet smoker.

Aromatic Rosemary Pellets – Fantastic Scent, Pricey for the Size

If you're someone who loves the smell and flavor of rosemary, these wood pellets are a game-changer for smoking meats, poultry, fish, and even cocktails. The aroma hits you as soon as you open the bag, and unlike many flavored wood pellets that promise a certain essence but fail to deliver, these actually infuse food with that wonderful, herbaceous rosemary smokiness. They burn cleanly, with minimal ash, and they’re a fun addition for any BBQ enthusiast looking to mix up their usual routine. That said, they aren’t meant to be used as your primary fuel source—they work best when mixed in with standard wood pellets to enhance the flavor. My one gripe is the price. For the amount you get, they’re on the expensive side, and I wish the bag was a little bigger. Still, if you’re looking to add a special touch to your next smoked dish, these are a solid option. My Rubric ✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point ➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper ❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopper My star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5-star system, are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. Finally, although some items have been freely offered via the Vine system, I refuse to sell out and will never allow a vendor to influence my scoring through any means other than the quality of the product, both on its own and in relation to the current pricing at the time of my review. I value the efforts of other honest reviewers and wish nothing more than to pay their efforts forward in hopes of faithfully guiding others to informed decisions. The Good ✅ Strong rosemary aroma – These actually smell like rosemary, both in the bag and when smoking, which isn’t always the case with flavored wood pellets. ✅ Great for enhancing smoke flavors – Adds a subtle, herbaceous note to meats, fish, vegetables, and even cocktails. ✅ Burns clean with minimal ash – Works well for long, steady smoke without clogging up your smoker. ✅ Versatile usage – Can be mixed with other wood pellets or used in smaller amounts for things like cold smoking cheese or smoked cocktails. The So-So ➖ Not meant for standalone smoking – You’ll need to mix these with regular pellets if you’re using them in a smoker, as the small bag won’t last long on its own. ➖ Stronger on scent than flavor – While they do add a rosemary note, it’s more subtle than some might expect. The Not-Good ❌ Expensive for the amount – The bag is small compared to standard smoking pellets, making this a premium add-on rather than a budget-friendly staple. The Details These rosemary wood pellets bring a unique, aromatic twist to grilling and smoking, making them a great specialty product for those who enjoy experimenting with flavors. The rich rosemary scent translates well into food, especially poultry, fish, and even smoked cocktails. They burn well and leave minimal ash, which is always a plus. However, they’re best used as an accent rather than a main fuel source—and at their current price, they’re more of a treat than an everyday essential. Final Rating: 4.5/5 (Amazing aroma and a great addition for certain dishes, but a bigger bag or lower price would make them a better value).
